Erica Fielder
Owner, Erica Fielder Studio
Erica Fielder is the artist and artistic director of Erica Fielder Studio, which produces trailside interpretive displays for parks and open spaces throughout the US and overseas. To create the displays, she collaborates with her copy editor/researcher and local experts to develop themes for a park and client. As a trained naturalist, wildlife observer, and professional artist, Fielder then creates the illustrations and layout designs. She sends the files to the fabricator once the materials are approved and assembled. The finished displays and stands are then shipped to the client for installation. Fielder’s interpretive work is informed by years of experience as a professional artist and a years-long residency as the naturalist at Jug Handle Nature Center, developing school ecology programs and co-authoring two books about exploring nature in the city.
